Brilliance!

I am the sort of person who loves to collect journals. Journals are a personal weakness of mine in that I get many of them because of their oddly appealing aesthetics that affect me on some sort of deep level I've never understood, and also in that I never actually write much of anything in these journals.

Beyond that, I have sort of a love hate relationship with emails. I love getting them. Emails are a wonderful thing. Good to stay connected and all the wonderful jazz that goes along with it. I also hate actually writing them. A typical response to an email from me is generally a non-response, or if pressed a very brief one.

The culmination of these two facts lead me to this point. I realized ... I have a lot of people who told me to stay in touch. Which presumably means email. Which as I am terrible at writing those emails, it left me in a conundrum that seems to be solved by the blog.

So here I go. Attempt to keep in touch. Feeds the urge to collect another journal. Will this one be actually written in? Hopefully so. At the very least, using the words of my good friend Ryan, I guarantee at least one update per sunspot cycle.

Catch you in the funny papers.
