So now I’m officially well into my first day in Japan. It’s kind of an odd experience having no clue what I am doing. I’m used to having a good handle on what I am doing, where I am, and what needs to be done in order to get things taken care of. So this is pretty much the exact opposite for me. It helps knowing the language, though sometimes I’m not quite sure where I sit with that. It’s forcing me to use a lot of vocabulary terms and situationally it’s a lot different from what I’ve had up to this point. Good way to practice!
